Model 7000 Series | 1 MHz to 65 GHz Phase Noise Tester - Signal Source Analyzer

The 7000 series is an all-in-one integrated solution that offers an indispensable set of low-noise phase measurement functions.  Offering both Absolute and Additive(residual) measurement capabilities in one unit at no additional cost, the 7000 series is the most flexible solution on the market. The instrument comprises a two-channel, cross-correlation system with two internal, tunable references sources that also allows measurements with externally sourced references. We offer three platform options for the 7000 Series Phase Noise Testers: the 7070 1 MHz to 7 GHz, the 7300 1 MHz to 26 GHz, 7340 1 MHz to 40 GHz, 7350 1 MHz to 50 GHz, and the 7360 1 MHz to 65 GHz.

A remote control for the instrument is available with LAN (VXI-11), USB or GPIB. The GPIB is an option and conforms with IEEE standards. The remote control is addressed with a user choice of software or command string options. The included comprehensive GUI gives users control of all parameters in BNC's familiar virtual instrument panel.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What Is Phase Noise?

What Is Phase Noise?

Phase noise is the noise produced by fast, short term fluctuations in a signal. Phase noise diminishes the signal quality and increases error rates in communication links. Although there is no such thing as "no" phase noise, the less you have, the better.
