960_Main_Detector_Front_Image

The Model 960 Radiation Monitoring System works as the next best solution for the growing need for radiometric control systems in waste management and incineration facilities. The Model 960 is a high-sensitivity monitor designed to locate unwanted radioisotopes, regardless of varying backgrounds, that often runs the risk of radiological, economic, and legal issues. The Model 960 is optimized to fit anywhere in your facility.

The Model 960 discrete form factor holds a large plastic scintillation detector paired with counting electronics and a state-of-the-art algorithm that allows 100% detection probability. Features include an alarm beacon, a panel PC for system control, and they are available in dual configurations set to meet your exact needs.

Overview

Overview

Model 960 - Pedestrian

The Model 960 - Pedestrian is specifically developed for homeland security and monitoring of critical sites such as office buildings, sports events, airports, etc. This unit is highly reliable and ensures a precise response in a large range of energies. When ensuring safety during operations in critical sites is the number one concern, the Model 960 - P is a suitable solution. It is fitted for screening pedestrians on site and is able to measure gamma count-rate.

Model 960 - Hospital Waste Check

The Model 960 - H is an ideal choice for use in metal scrap yards to find orphan sources of contaminated metals. During stand-by the Model 960 - H constantly measures background, and every second recalculates background as the average of the last 5 minutes. To prevent unwanted alarms caused by the passage of unrelated people or objects, suitable selective presence sensors stop background updates and start the measurement when an object passes.

Model 960 - Conveyor Belt or Area Monitoring

This Model 960 configuration is intended for the recycling industry. It features very high sensitivity for hidden sources with virtually 100% detection probability when placed close to conveyor belts. A relay connected to the alarm signal can be used to activate external devices (traffic light, barrier, siren, belt block, etc.).

Alternatively, certain configurations of this Model 960 could also be used as an area monitor to check radioactivity level in a defined area, whether indoor or outdoor.
