High-powered and air-cooled CW/QCW current source PCX-7421 is design to drive diode lasers, bars, and arrays. There is a 50 mA to 21.5 A adjustable pulsed output current. There is a 50 ns to 500 ms pulse width adjustment, and a less than 25 ns rise time. When utilizing the internal pulse source, the pulse repetition rate can be adjusted between 40 Hz and 100,000 Hz, and between single-shot and 1 MHz when utilizing an external source.
The PCX-7121 offers outputs that are both CW (DC) and QCW (pulsed). It can operate as a pulsed/QCW driver at currents between 50 mA and 21.5 A, and as a CW driver at currents between 0.05 A and 5.8 A. In addition, it is possible to bias the output to any CW current between 0.050 A and 5.8 A, and then pulse above this bias current up to a maximum of 15.7 A. The bias current can be triggered and pulsed separately from the main current thanks to a new feature.
