December 13, 2024 - BNC is Now a Proud Member of the International Society on Pulsed Power Applications
The International Society on Pulsed Power Applications E.V. recognizes the challenges of pulsed power technology and unites its members with the purpose of expanding access to pulsed power so that it includes a more diverse set of commercial applications. As stated on their website, linked here, examples of such commercial applications include the following, but are not limited to: surface treatment, disintegration of brittle materials and compound materials, cleaning from brittle materials, reshaping of metallic parts, and cleaning of polluted gases and fluids. The ISP exists because of its members and the dedication of its committee members. Multiple workshops, shows, and conferences are available to members and non-members alike. Berkeley Nucleonics is proud to be a new member of the ISP.
Since our acquisition of DEI in 2021, BNC has offered a line of high voltage and high current pulse generators, as well as laser diode drivers. These instruments are designed for high voltage and precision applications such as Time of Flight, Q-Switches, Pockels Cells, acoustic transducers, microchannel plates, and more.
In our product spotlight this week is the PVX-2506 pulse generator. Its unique design using a bi-directional MOSFET output stage gives this unit several advantages: fast rise and fall times with minimal overshoot, undershoot, and ringing as fast settling times. Any application requiring high current and precision voltage pulses would benefit from the PVX-2506’s equally fast pulse rise and fall times, low power dissipation, and minimal overshoot, undershoot, or ringing. Most specifically the PVX-2506 was designed for precision pulsing of semiconductor devices for pulsed I-V characterization. Check out more specifications below:
