August 21st, 2018 - BNC Holds Training Session for Harbor-UCLA Medical Center’s Radiation Experts
BNC offers advanced and practical hands-on training for the SAM 945 Radiation Isotope Identifier (RIID) to the radiation specialists at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center
This weekend, we got the opportunity to offer hands-on training to the radiation specialists working at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. The training involved advanced and practical training by BNC’s training expert in the use and adoption of the SAM 945 Radiation Isotope Identifier (RIID).
The use of radiation in medical centers is increasing throughout the country, having equipment like the SAM 945 that is able to detect elevated radiation readings and identify specific radioisotopes is one of the major reasons why UCLA chose this RIID. The long list of SAM 945 features ensures that experienced health physicists will enjoy an unmatched user experience when performing day-to-day medical tasks. Members of the medical community rely on the SAM 945 and understand the importance of providing accurate radiation data.
Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, one of the Los Angeles County's most heavily used facilities, is going through some major upgrades and Berkeley Nucleonics is excited to help by providing sophisticated support and world-class training services.
