August 30th, 2018 - New 7000 Series GUI Features & Added Functionality for Version 1.2.86
BNC releases a new GUI for the 7000 Series increasing its functionality and measurement modes, including a huge change to the plotting capabilities, allowing users to individually configure each plot.
The GUI Release 1.2.86 contains many changes to functionality and measurement modes (for instance, Burst Mode measurements to capture phase noise of single pulses). It also contains a huge change to the plotting capabilities, allowing users to individually configure each plot.
We have received many requests for further control on how the plots look on screen and after exporting the data. Depending on the monitor (resolution and size), it was sometimes difficult to read the results because the text was too small.
Having listened to the feedback from our users, it is now possible to change the font sizes of the axis, legend, labels, and crosshair text individually. Besides the font sizes, the axis configuration has been improved, making it possible to set the maximum, minimum, and tick interval for each axis.
To enable more possibilities to create a graph, each individual trace allows to set its line width, trace color, trace name, enable or disable the spurious, smooth the trace, shift it (to compare measurements at different frequencies), and to toggle the relative noise floor and a smoothed overlay of the trace.
These changes enable a faster workflow, especially when viewing the results on the screen or exporting visual data (PNG, PDF, etc) to use them in reports and other documents.
